Salary: $65,000-$75,000

Our client, a respected New England law firm, is seeking a Trusts & Estates Legal Administrative Assistant to join their Manchester, NH office. This full-time, on-site role supports attorneys and paralegals within the firm's Trusts & Estates practice, providing high-level administrative, technical, and client-service support.


Position Overview

The Trusts & Estates Legal Administrative Assistant plays a key role in supporting estate planning and trust administration work. This position requires strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex documents and sensitive information.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support, including drafting correspondence, managing calendars, coordinating meetings, and handling client calls.
  • Prepare, revise, and format complex legal documents, including redlining, PDF-to-Word conversions, scanning, and assembling binders.
  • Proofread all documents for accuracy in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date electronic files within the firm's document management system.
  • Apply knowledge of legal terminology related to wills, trusts, and probate proceedings while maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Enter attorney time, open new matters, and conduct conflict checks.
  • Answer phone calls professionally, take clear messages, and provide responsive communication to clients and internal team members.
  • Demonstrate strong initiative, prioritization skills, and the ability to manage tasks efficiently.
  • Provide backup support to other attorneys and paralegals when needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of legal administrative experience, ideally within trusts & estates or another transactional practice area.
  • Outstanding attention to detail with strong organizational abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfort with legal technology systems.
